What is AnyWebDB?

AnyWebDB is a web-based platform for rapid database application development. Using AnyWebDB enables businesses to quickly and easily build front-end applications to databases which are readily accessible through a web browser, enabling users of all platforms, and all locations, to seamlessly access, update and review data.

AnyWebDB allows smaller businesses to benefit from the power of running on true relational databases - they can expand their horizons and maximise their business potential without spending tens of thousands of dollars on proprietary database systems. Meanwhile, staff may access the systems deployed from any location, even a mobile-phone equipped browser.

AnyWebDB runs on top of the most robust Open Source database in the market, PostgreSQL, and can be deployed on any web server that supports standard CGIs. Future versions of the application will also run on MySQL and Oracle.

AnyWebDB provides a variety of generic modules which may be used to build an application in less than an hour, including:

Additionally, new modules can be easily constructed, allowing custom activities to be performed.

AnyWebDB applications can be anything from a simple DVD or Book database for small businesses to complex support call tracking systems or timesheet recording systems. AnyWebDB natively supports a 3-tier structure, allowing separation between the application server, database server and end-user client. This means that clustering an AnyWebDB application for high availability requirements is simple, and readily configurable in all major cluster packages.

AnyWebDB is available for Linux (x86 and x64), Solaris (Sparc), and Mac OS X (Intel).
